This five-day conference will feature seminars on topics ranging from market conditions and technical developments to associated standardization issues. On Wednesday, June 13, Bostik’s Technical Service Manager for the Tape Market, Marihelen Hoppa-Willbrandt, will present on a comparison of pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tapes and cohesives. “I think this topic is especially relevant to today’s evolving marketplace, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share the information with this prestigious audience,” said Marihelen. The presentation will focus on the similarities and differences between PSAs and cohesives with regards to formulation, bond strengths, processing, storage and end-use applications. Additionally on June 13, Ian Grace, Bostik’s Global Technical Support Manager for the Tape Market will chair a session called “Maintaining the Core” and present on reactive hot melt PSAs.
On June 14, Bostik’s EMEA Tape Business Development Manager, Jérémie Peyras, will present on controlling odor in hot melt PSAs for tape applications alongside Bostik’s Product Development Chemist, Amandine Rafaitin. “Given that odor control is a rising trend across markets, detailing the origin of odors and how adhesive formulations can mitigate it will be important for the audience to understand,” said Jérérmie. “I look forward to having the chance to present the process Bostik has implemented and detail how it can help others.”
