Bostik, a leading global adhesive specialist for industrial, construction and consumer markets, is proud to exhibit virtually at this year’s Foam Expo Connect, Foam Expo North America’s virtual trade show, occurring August 24 – 28, 2020 in conjunction with Adhesives & Bonding Expo.
After making its debut in 2017, Foam Expo has quickly become the world’s largest exhibition and educational conference dedicated to all verticals within the technical foam products and technologies industry. Wanting to still keep industry professionals connected during these unprecedented times, it is giving attendees and exhibitors the ability to meet for a week-long, interactive, digital event.
During this virtual week, Bostik will showcase its latest water-based, automotive adhesive, Aquagrip® 3720, ideal for bonding low surface energy, rigid substrates to closed-cell and foam-backed materials. Able to improve processes and product performance while reducing environmental impact and enhancing worker safety, this product is also plasticizer resistant, responsive to heat and compatible with one-sided application processes.
Additionally, Bostik will feature Born2Bond, its innovative line of instant engineering adhesives designed to address increasingly challenging product assembly processes while improving overall performance and aesthetics. Developed by working closely with product designers, engineers and managers, these low blooming and low odor solutions enhance design opportunities and operational efficiencies for applications throughout the automotive, assembly, electronics, MRO and luxury packaging applications.
The company’s innovative film, web and hot melt bonding solutions will also be promoted at the event to help meet even the most stringent application demands.
Further, Bostik’s Technical Director, Jean-Francois Chartrel, will be speaking on a virtual roundtable, “How to Select Adhesives for Your Application”. This roundtable, available through the Adhesives & Bonding Expo, gives attendees the opportunity to consult suppliers on application selection criteria, dispensing and processing.
Speaking in advance of Foam Expo Connect, Derek Hofsess, Bostik’s Business Development Manager for Global Assembly Adhesives, said, “We’re excited the Foam Expo staff have been able to recreate their annual event using a virtual forum, so that we’re able to still address current and future bonding needs for foam industry professionals. We look forward to hearing about their challenges and goals and how we can help.”
